Day-by-day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Lima & Overnight in Lima

Upon your arrival, one of our representatives will meet you at Lima Jorge Chavez international Airport and take you to your hotel of choice in Lima for a deserved rest. You will have time to freshen up and relax after your journey. *An extra day in Lima can be added upon request as well as additional activities and meals.

Day 2: Market Visit with Fruit Festival, Mission with Ceviche Festival Class,  Afternoon City Tour, Dinner at Señorio de Sulco & Overnight in Lima

After breakfast at your hotel, one of our representatives will meet you at your hotel for your market visit and fruit festival. The local market visit is a great way to experience a little bit of the Peruvian culture in its daily life. Here you can find and taste the best variety of vegetables and fruits, including exotic products from the “Andes” and the “Jungle”. You will also participate in a very special Ceviche Mission, which is your secret mission. We will give you the recipe, ingredients list and money to buy all your supplies to make your Ceviche (don’t worry if you don’t speak Spanish, this is part of the fun). After the shopping, one of our chefs will teach you how to prepare a traditional Ceviche. After lunch you will start your Lima City tour. Sites to be visited: Main Square, the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the City Hall, the San Francisco Monastery (including catacombs), old streets with colonial houses, and a driving tour through the beautiful districts of San Isidro and Miraflores. At the end of the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel to rest before dinner at Señorio de Sulco. *An extra day in Lima can be added upon request, as well as additional activities and meals.

Day 3: Flight to Cusco, Afternoon City Tour, Novandina Tasting Dinner at MAP Café & Overnight in Cusco (B, D)

After breakfast at your hotel in Lima, you will be taken to the airport to catch your short flight to Cusco. You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel of choice. The remainder of the morning is free to rest and freshen up. It is best to take it easy this morning to let your body adjust to the altitude. In the afternoon you will be picked-up at your hotel and taken on a grand tour of Cusco. We walk Cusco’s impressive Plaza de Armas and visit both the Spanish cathedral and Inca temple of the sun, Qoricancha. Next, we visit the ruins above the city: Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay, the Temple of the Sacred Waters, and Q´enqo. In the evening, you will be picked up and taken on a Novoandina dinner at MAP Café, located in the Museo de Arte Precolombino (Museum of Pre-Inca Art), where you will be introduced to tastes rarely experienced before. At the end of the dinner you will be taken back to your hotel for the night. * An extra day in Cusco can be added upon request, as well as additional activities and meals.

Day 4: Sacred Valley Private Tour, Lunch with show & Overnight in Cusco (B, L)

After breakfast at your hotel in Cusco we set out into the Urubamba Valley. We will start our visit at Pisac Ruins,one of the most beautiful archeological site. We head deeper into the Valley and visit the town of Ollantaytambo, and Maras salt mines. At the end of the tour, you will have a gourmet lunch at Sol and Luna hotel while enjoying a traditional Peruvan dancing horses show. After lunch, you will go back to Cusco to rest. This day dinner is on your own. * An overnight in the Sacred Valley can be added upon request, as well as add additional activities and meals.

Day 5: Cusquenian Cooking Class, Train to Aguas Calientes & Overnight in Aguas Calientes (B, L, D)

After breakfast at your hotel in Cusco you will be transferred to your Cusquenian Cooking Class. In this class you will learn, touch, and taste some of the main vegetables farmed in this area.  You will then learn about the unique ways that the Chefs use the great variety of special natural products, including an endless variety of potatoes and other delicious vegetables. You will also have a tour of an organic plantation. After the class you will enjoy lunch at Huacatay Restaurant. You will then be taken to Ollantaytambo train station to catch the train to Aguas Calientes where you will spend the night. Before dinner your guide will give you a briefing for your Machu Picchu Tour.

Day 6: Machu Picchu Tour, Lunch in Aguas Calientes & Overnight in Cusco (B, L, S)

The day you have been waiting for! After breakfast we catch the early bus to the Machu Picchu citadel. This day you will enjoy a full tour of the lost city and have lunch at one of the best Restaurants in Aguas Calientes, Chullpi, where you enjoy top quality food. From the restaurant you will enjoy stunning views of the Sacred Valley. In the afternoon we say farewell to Machu Picchu as we take the train to Ollanataytambo train station, where transportation will be waiting for you to bring you back to yout Cusco’s Hotel. This day dinner is on your own. * An overnight in Machu Picchu can be added upon request, as well as bus and entrance tickets for a second day at the citadel. Day 7: Flight Back to Lima, Farawell Lunch at Astrid & Gaston & Overnight in Lima (B, L)

After breakfast at your hotel in Cusco you will be picked up and transferred to the airport to catch yur flight back to Lima. Once you arrive in Lima, you will be met at the airport by one of our representatives and taken to your hotel. You will then be picked up once again for you fusion lunch at Astrid & Gaston. Here you will enjoy a special and exclusive 12-course “Tasting Menu”. You will taste traditional dishes presented into a creative and new form. After lunch you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel to rest. You wll have the afternoon at your leisure. This day dinner is on your own. *An extra day in Lima can be added upon request, as well as additional activities and meals.

Day 8: Free Day in Lima & Flight Back Home (B)

After breackfast at your hotel in Lima, you will have all the day free to exlore Lima by yourself. This free-time will also allow you to get ready for your flight back home. We will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the airport to catch your flight back home. * Please let us know if you like to add extra activities or an extra day hotel if your flight is the next morning.
