Ugo was raised in an Italo-greek family in Lima. When young, he studied in Italy and then spent some time in US until he was 30. In one of his visits to Lima, he was called to be part of a television commercial. His outgoing personality attracted the owner of an important broadcasting company who offered him to host a T.V. game show. It was on this show where he was asked to show the public his ability making pastas. After this, he decided to open his own business and bought the Restaurant La Trattoria
to its Italian owners. For the last 20 years, he has taken his spontaneous, friendly and warm personality to the restaurant. On 2006 he released a book with his pasta recipes sponsored by the biggest supermarkets chain in Peru.
